How we check car boot dates
Out-of-date car boot listings waste a Sunday morning. So we follow a few strict rules.
The rules
- The organiser's own words. Days, seasons and times are copied word for word from the organiser's website, ticket page or council page, with a link to the source.
- No guessed dates. We show a specific date only when the organiser printed it with the year. We never work out a "next date" ourselves.
- Prices only when they're marked for this season. Otherwise we say "see the organiser's website".
- Year warnings. If an organiser's page doesn't say which year it's for, we tell you.
- Location from the postcode. County and area come from the postcode, not from guesswork.
- "Not yet verified" means exactly that. We found the car boot in business listings but couldn't confirm it on the organiser's own page.
- No ratings or reviews copied from other sites.
How often
We re-read every organiser's page every two weeks during the season. Organisers can confirm their dates at any time. Last full check: Thursday, 15 October 2026.
Car boots can still be cancelled at short notice, often because of the weather. Check the organiser's own page on the morning.
